Grief can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone. I offer compassionate, confidential grief coaching in Kent, providing a safe space where you can talk openly, be heard and find support at your own pace.
Grief changes us. It can affect how we think, how we feel, and how we experience everyday life. Some days you may feel able to cope, while on others even the smallest task can feel overwhelming. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and no timetable that tells us when we should begin to feel better.
As a qualified grief coach based in Kent, I offer a calm, confidential and compassionate space where you can talk openly about your loss, your thoughts and your emotions, without fear of judgement or expectation.
Whether your bereavement is recent or happened many years ago, you don’t have to face it alone. Sometimes simply having someone who will truly listen can make all the difference.
If you’re not ready to talk to someone yet I have also written a book titled Making Sense of Grief, which can be purchased here via Amazon.
With accessible explanations, heartfelt reflections, and thoughtful guidance on supporting children and young people, Making Sense of Grief helps readers feel, seen, understood and less alone.
One of the things I hear most often is that people feel they have to be “strong” for everyone else. Family and friends naturally want to help, but as time passes they often assume you’re beginning to move forward. In reality, your grief may still feel just as raw.
That’s where grief coaching can help.
Our sessions are your time. There is no pressure to hide your emotions or to have all the answers. Whether you need to cry, sit quietly, share memories, ask difficult questions or simply talk about how you’re feeling, you will always be met with kindness, understanding and respect.
I believe every person’s experience of grief is unique. There isn’t a single path through loss, which is why I tailor my support to you and your individual circumstances.
Working as an independent funeral celebrant has given me the privilege of supporting many families during one of the most difficult times in their lives. I give my all to each and every service, creating heartfelt ceremonies that celebrate a loved one’s life while holding space for the family’s grief.
Over the years I’ve seen that, although the funeral is an important part of saying goodbye, it is often only the beginning of a person’s grief journey.
Once the ceremony has taken place and life around them begins to return to normal, many people find themselves feeling alone with their thoughts. It was this understanding that led me to qualify as a grief coach, allowing me to continue supporting people beyond the funeral itself.
Whether I have conducted your loved one’s funeral or we’ve never met before, I am here to offer words of comfort, acknowledge your pain and support you as you find your own way forward.
Grief coaching isn’t about forgetting the person you’ve lost or trying to “move on”.
Instead, it’s about helping you understand your grief, giving you the space to process your emotions and finding healthy ways to carry your loss as you begin to rebuild your life.
People come to grief coaching for many different reasons. You may be:
Whatever has brought you here, you are welcome.
Many people feel nervous about their first coaching session. That’s completely understandable.
There is no expectation that you arrive knowing exactly what you want to say. We’ll simply begin wherever feels comfortable for you.
Some people want to tell the story of the person they’ve lost. Others want to talk about how life has changed, or the emotions they’re finding hardest to manage. Sometimes we spend time reflecting quietly, and sometimes conversation flows naturally.
Every session moves at your pace.
There is no judgement, no pressure and no expectation to be anything other than yourself.
Grief affects people of every age and every background.
I offer grief coaching to adults experiencing all types of bereavement, including those who have lost:
I also support those experiencing anticipatory grief, where someone close to them is living with a terminal illness, as well as people whose loss happened many months or even years ago.
There is no point at which it becomes “too late” to ask for support.
Choosing a grief coach is a very personal decision. You need someone you feel comfortable with, someone who will listen without judgement and create a safe space where you can simply be yourself.
As both a qualified grief coach and an experienced funeral celebrant, I understand not only the practical aspects of saying goodbye but also the emotional impact that follows.
Families often describe my approach as warm, compassionate, heartfelt and comforting. I believe in listening carefully, acknowledging your pain and offering hope for the future without ever diminishing the love you continue to hold for the person you’ve lost.
Above all, I want you to feel heard.
Reaching out for support can feel like one of the hardest steps to take, but it can also be the beginning of finding a way forward.
You don’t need to have the right words, and you don’t need to carry everything on your own. Whether you’re looking for someone to listen, help you make sense of your emotions or simply offer a compassionate space where your grief can be acknowledged, I’m here to support you.
If you’d like to explore how grief coaching could help you, I’d be honoured to talk with you. Please get in touch whenever you feel ready, and together we can take that first step at a pace that feels right for you.
There is no right or wrong time. Some people reach out within days or weeks of losing someone, while others wait months or even years. Support is available whenever you feel ready
Not at all. My grief coaching service is open to anyone seeking compassionate bereavement support.
Everyone’s experience is different. Some people find a handful of sessions helpful, while others choose longer-term support. We can discuss what feels right for you.
Yes. Your sessions are completely confidential, providing a safe and private environment where you can speak openly.
Absolutely. Grief doesn’t follow a timetable, and many people seek support years after their bereavement when feelings they thought had settled begin to resurface.
